You need to know what it is to be a slave before you can be a King.
This is the kind of deep stuff that I never expected to find in a children's book series.
There's nothing more satisfying than a fulfilling ending to an amazing series. I had so many emotions over this book. The ending was emotional and satisfying and amazing and I honestly cried. This might be a coming of age story, but even at 23, I can relate to this book so much. Maybe we really never stop coming of age. We always have stuff to learn about life and growing up.
I can't really put into words what a touching and amazing journey this has been.
What a wonderful, wonderful book series. I know for sure someday I'll buy a beautiful boxed set of these books and read them with my children. This is the kind of story that sticks with you forever.

This was an absolutely outstanding ending to a wonderful series. It was just the right amount of funny and heartfelt that left me wanting another 100 books about Hiccup and Toothless.

Such a great conclusion to the series. I'm sad it's over, but at least I can always reread the series again someday.

Can't believe that this series came to an end.Alvin and his mother (I hate herrr) deserved that ending.The epilogue though,it was so emotional,never thought that it would end that way.
