Quite the page turner! Dark and mysterious and quite twisted. Heed the content warnings.

This book had so much potential and I'm super mad about it. The basic plot was already a great idea where a dysfunctional family has to take shelter in a bathroom together during a bad storm. Obviously so much can go wrong.
But there was a part of it I feel like kind of killed it. I'll write more under spoilers but there are some really dark and terrifying parts and I found the whole concept to be super eerie but I really wasn't a fan of the reasoning behind certain things :/ btw the movie sucks, DEFINITELY read the book if you really are curious.

finding out that the main character and her GF
summoned some sort of demon to cause the end of the world was so stupid in my opinion. I'm not a writer but some things are better left a mystery and I feel like this book could have just stayed that way.
Where we never knew what happened outside and didn't know why. Like enough horror occurred in the bathroom. I think the whole ritual thing took away from the plot.
