As a note to myself I’m starting a new reviewing system from hereon so I’ll actually start giving books 1-2 stars bc i never do that lol. Anyways in general this book was a decent read, the premise was interesting & I wanted to see where it would go which was,, nowhere really?? It just felt very pointless and disjointed, and the ending really gave me nothing at all. The characters felt too much like caricatures to me, like the prototypical dysfunctional american family with the conservative dad & the abused/neglected dissatisfied wife & the queer daughter & the (incredibly!!!!) annoying little brother which isn’t bad in itself as long as that isn’t all that is to them (but in this case it was). It was an ok book, just not something that will stick with me.
