Listened as an audiobook. Lots of fun angst. Dialog was a little corny at times but the focus here is NOT the dialog... This book is just a part 1, but it’s MM and then MF, not MMF.

If there's one thing I will nag on this book on, it will be how the book description doesn't pick up until 75% into the book! Isolde is not mention until this point, so it quite confused me where the bride-to-be comes on stage. The spice and kink are definitely up there! I kind of want to continue to finish the series, but not so enthusiastic about it.

Ohhhh Tristan was fascinating to read about. What a captivating character whose traumatic past as a soldier leads him to crave submission by his new boss, kink club owner supreme, Mark Trevena. The characters are so well-developed that it’s no shock the smutty shenanigans they get into is well-written, too.

Tristan’s personal struggle to be a good person (as he protects shady people he happens to be in love with) really adds to the story. He just wants love and must be protected at all costs, which is ironic since he is the bodyguard for Mark (and now Isolde, too). Another reviewer said it’s funny though that “lord sneaky and lady stabby are the ones wanting to do the protecting.” As spicy as things get, I just want him to be happy, whatever that looks like for this really intense love triangle going into the next book.

This book follows Tristan 29 a previous army veteran with some past trauma that haunts him. Tristan took a role with his step-uncle, Mark Trevena a wealthy businessman. Being his bodyguard was meant to be easy but it’s not when feelings and temptation come into play.

This was getting down to business with delicious kinky spice. Twists turns and the MMC discovering his true intimate self. Mark Trevena just takes what he wants, deliciously dominates and honestly, I scream in his scenes. I will say though the red flag radar is going off when it comes to Mark there is just something in the back of my mind. Tristan internally wears his heart on his sleeve. He feels all the emotions and is such a gentle soul even though he has a stern exterior. I'm in love with Tristan as a character. Then Isolde comes into play and I'm weak. I need all three of them together! The narration by Oscar is brilliant. Starting the next book as soon as I can I need to know what's going to happen.
