Tristan is one of my favorite main characters and his obsessive nature is somehow so sweet. He falls in love with a husband and wife to be and both of them are keeping secrets and practically stringing him along. Kinky, emotional, and mysterious with a plot unfolding beautifully in the background. My only issue is that it’s incest. Especially incest in a way where the “step” doesn’t even matter since uncles and aunts half the time are just through marriage - plus, the whole idea that step family doesn’t count hurts as someone with such a large step and ex-step family. It doesn’t even seem relevant to the plot so I don’t know why it was added? I gladly keep my eyes close to this, though, since I liked Tristan so much.

A troubled soul meets two people who seem set on using him! 4.5 stars!

This book follow Tristian as he tries to figure out his next steps in life. He recently separated from the military and is sitting in limbo when his new uncle-in-law, Mark, offers him a job as his bodyguard. Mark is former CIA and is currently the owner of Lyonesse—DC’s ultra-secret club. He instantly attracted to Mark and falls in love with him while acting as his bodyguard. However, Mark is soon to be wed to Isolde, an heiress for her father's banking company. Tristian is tasked with bringing her back to America on a Yacht which is a three week journey. He becomes fascinated with Isolde more and more each day. However, she is supposed to be off limits because she belongs to his boss.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. It had me hooked from the moment I started it. The angst was killing me and that cliffhanger had me thrown. However, I found Tristan to be very naive for his age. I could expect him to be inexperienced in Mark's world but I also found him to be inexperienced in life as a whole. Other than that I found it to be a great read. I skipped the prequel so I am heading back to read that and patiently awaiting the next book!
