I adored the story and all of the characters except for Cheyanne she annoyed me 80% of the time constantly mentioning her teenage crush.

I am between 3 and 3.5 with this one. I like the relationship of Mariah with our main characters(I like the single parent trope), but I didn't feel the chemestry between the couple. I feel that the author handle the topic of grief better in 'After We Fall'. Over all was an OK read, but it didn't make me feel much.

It started off quite well but I got bored really easily. I also tend to finish all books if I start them especially if I get to over 50% but I just couldn’t do it.

Long story short I think I was not really in a sweat romance mood so this book was not for me . I finished this book just out of boredom.

This adorable small town/ friends to lovers story was a delight to read. I truly enjoyed reading about Cheyenne and Cole romance but what I liked the most was how they were caring about Mariah (Cole's daughter) feelings! It was so adorable and sweet how they included her in every decision because I've seen a lot of books where kids become an afterthought when the mcs get together.
I also liked how this book dealt with grief and mental health, especially men's mental health. I loved how the author included a therapist doing their work well and the aftermath/results of how your life can change and improve when you find the right people for you.
The only issue I saw was that this was the back and forth of Cole. That annoyed me a bit because there were chapters that bored me and felt like filler chapters because they didn't help the story to move forward.
Overall this was a wonderful book.
