Reunited and it feels so good…

Well, yes and no. Lo’s returned to Lily, which I love, but the two have some new obstacles challenging them in Addicted for Now. Lily’s been dealing with her addiction in Lo’s absence, but his return adds another temptation into the mix. She has to let go and trust Lo to take care of her needs. If that wasn’t enough, someone knows Lily’s secret and is threatening to tell.

I love, love, love how this series is evolving. Lo and Lily are still dealing with their addictions, but I felt more hopeful for them. There was still some angst and suspense, but there was also time to relax and enjoy. They’ve both grown so much and, while things aren’t perfect, their story has started to become more than just their addictions. Lo and Lily are in a sweet recovery period where they’re allowing themselves to be happy — for a moment. Lo’s taking his recovery seriously, and also stepping up to help Lily deal with hers. He’s putting helping her with her addiction before both of their sexual desires and saying no when he needs to. There’s a surprising tenderness to their relationship that I really love.

I also really loved the whole trip to Mexico setting. It threw all of the characters into different, awkward situations. It brought them closer together and showcased more of their personalities. I loved that the book gave me the opportunity to know Ryke, Daisy, Connor and Rose even better. It made me excited to read the next couple of books where they’re the main characters.

This book wasn’t all fun and games, though. There was still tons of drama in the story. Everything comes crashing down with the sinister revelation to the world that Lily is a sex addict. It’s sad and devastating to everyone. All of the characters are scrambling to find the evil person who tipped off the press.

Addicted for Now continued my obsession with the Addicted series. I loved the way the story and characters evolved. It was an awesome addition to this series, and made me even more excited for what’s to come in the next book.

RE-READ UPDATE FOR THE NEW BERKLEY EDITION WITH BONUS CONTENT:
I originally read Addicted for Now back in 2016. After re-reading it, I went back and read my original review for the book. It still stands. I didn’t need to change a thing. What I’m going to talk about here is what I thought of the bonus material that’s a new addition to this traditionally published new edition. I have to say, it’s the best new bonus material of the series so far. The new chapter was a look at Connor and Rose’s first date. It made me miss this couple so much! It was totally them. There was also a playlist that didn’t really do much for me because I’m not a playlist person and then a chapter of fun text exchanges that I enjoyed. These added some fun to the already great re-read.

This book was so emotional and stressful for me. I relate so much to Lily and some of her inner monologue and challenges, even though I'm not an addict myself. Seeing Lily and Lo battling recovery and soberity was beautiful even with all the challenges thrown their way.
Lily goes through so much this book, and I really don't know how she manages and continues to keep pushing forward, but I'm glad she does. I love the character growth of all the characters this book, and I appreciate the way that addiction is being captured and told through this book.
I get such a better sense of Lily as a character this book and we get to see so much more of the depth of love Lily and Lo have. I'm officially obsessed with these characters and their story, but going to need a breather before continuing on because KBR like to induce anxiety and cause pain, and I'd rather ration my tears.
I also do think the writing is improving as well as the storytelling which is great giving that a great and interesting story is being captured in these books and is the reason I know I want to see it through and watch all of these characters grow and overcome the challenges.

4,25 because this one really stressed me out but I LOVE THE DRAMA and the love. It was great to see more of Rose and Connor and also I think I’d like Lo better now if he was a real person and I happened to meet him. Daisy still kind of annoys me and I don’t like that I like when her and Ryke flirt (can’t wait for their book tho)

I just finished it!!! gosh i am quite literally addicted to these series. okay first of all: I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO READ RICOCHET FIRST BEFORE READING ADDICTED FOR NOW. Lily and Lo are in rehab and getting better, at least theyre trying! it's been 3 months since they've seen each other. li's battle with her addiction seemed easier to fight when her vice (lo) wasn't literally there. anyways they are a group now, lily, lo, rose, connor and ryke. they take a spring break vacay to Cancun, where they accidentally lose all their baggage and the rooms that they booked. so theyre stuck in one room, all of them together+ Melissa the bitch ryke brought with, whom we hate!! oh and also daisy, the 16 year old sister tags along. before they went on this vacation lily's therapist gave her a blacklist of things they can and can't do. she doesn't know what's on the list, because her therapist thought it would be better this way. anyways
on their way back lily's secret gets out and later on we find out it's ryke's mom, who has outed lil. she's absolutely broken, she can't go outside, she's afraid, and her parents basically disown her, and her mom is a BITCH, we also hate her.
so they come back and tackle their new problems, but theyre all feeling broken and just tired of everything. OH also lo's dad might be an asshole but he's always there for his kids and i think the mean side of him would disappear if he dealt with his drinking problem. loren also finds out about his mother and his step sisters, even though his mom wants nothing to do with him, he still went to meet her and that ended up with him outside of a bar, almost collapsing. OMG sebby is the worst we hate him more than anyone else.  OH and lo n lily are engaged to save their relashionship and all that. the book ends with loren actually proposing to lily iykyk. and lily has finally put on some weight YAASSSS. okay this much for now, idk what else to say lol
