I adored Loren's development from overcoming his addiciton as well as seeing his struggle to maintain his sobriety as well. And I love love love how he ADORES Lily and ultimately just wants the best for her. He was actually being the boyfriend that Lily deserves.
I also admire that we really got to see Lily struggle to get better. I've been rooting for her and felt sympathy for her since book 1. I can't wait to see her get better!
Again! Loved Rose and Conner (not that big of a fan of them individually, but they just work as a couple). I can't wait to read their book.
I really felt the friendship between the characters in this book and am gradually seeing the formation of "the core six". I also enjoyed them diving into their parental relationships as well. I can't wait to connect with the characters as much as everyone else does.
One thing that did aggravate me and something that I will never get over is Ryke and Daisy. They know how inappropriate their relationship is and yet the authors are gonna pursue them anyways. I just can't get behind it.

The character development that
Johnathan
Loren
Lily
Rose
Gave us was amazing.
However these books NEED FUCKING TRIGGER WARNINGS.
I’m not the kind of person who thinks the world should be coddled, however the topics in these books, and this one ESPECIALLY made me sick to my stomach.
They hurt to read, and made me physically sick. My heart hurt.
I can commend the writers for the way they depict the events. I can even applaud them for finally improving their writing enough that they illicit these emotions from readers.
But the topics in this book are heavy as hell.

This book still focuses on Lilly and Loren developing and growing. Although their relationship and growth are not what kept me reading. I just love all the side characters. They really bring the story to life. I am totally hyped to now read Kiss the Sky and especially Hothouse Flower.
