I LOVED this book.
The multiple character POVs were all flawlessly placed to create a wonderful and intriguing narrative, “the wedding night” chapters leading us to the big reveal, and my held breath that I had the dead person right,

Lucy Foley did a phenomenal job of leading us on a journey of a TV’s hottest outdoorsmen’s wedding to a stuck up entrepreneur and all the chaos that ensues on a remote island.

What I loved best about this story is that you don’t know who is dead until the end; and each character fits that role. I did a literally fist pump when dead person was revealed because I had been hoping against hope that it was them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and will be picking up more of Foley’s work.

My advice would be “expect the unexpected”, and, even then, you wouldn’t be able to expect the ending. I love how Lucy Foley can create a story with multiple POV’s, but is still able to not confuse the reader as that they have to go back and forth to understand the story fully. It really is a page-turner.

Quiet entertaining and much more character driven than your average who-done-it. This is partly due to the fact that for most of the book you don't know if a crime has even been committet, what is is and who is the victim. Instead you get a lot of backstories, a lot of skeletons coming outs og a lot of closets and a lot of stupid decisions made by a lot of deeply flawed and human people.
Loved that the chapters were read by different people depending on the POW. Entertaining but not groundbreaking.
