I liked this! Kylee and Fisher were both very sympathetic characters, and I liked them a lot. Kylee and her younger brother haven't had a break since their parents died. They have been getting by on petty crimes and dumpster diving, with the dubious assistance of Jesse, a guy with a violent temper. When he sends Kylee to the ER one time too many, she flees Las Vegas for Texas, where she meets Fisher Boone, a vet who is as kind as he is handsome. I liked how welcoming Stonewall Crossing was, and enjoyed the Boone family. I am especially looking forward to reading Archer's story. This was a nice find over a stressful weekend!
