Idk man I just think that Christian becomes kind of irredeemable in this book, which is strange to say after everything we’ve already seen. The plot is kinda predicable and the character work regresses. The movie is actually much better, surprisingly. It’s fine. Just not great.

I will be very blunt.

I read this when I was 15 (too young, I know), and even at the time I could not believe that a grown adult wrote this. It reads like a bad fanfic written by a teen.

I am not even going to get into this abusive relationship depicted as romantic, and somehow desirable. Shameful.

I feel this was a good ending for this trilogy. Everything is wrapped up and no questions are left unanswered and while I could have gone without the sex on every chapter (it seemed like) this was on okay book in my opinion
