I don’t know how to rate this book. It was long but I read it quickly because I wanted to know what would happen next.

I’m confused about a lot of things. Why would a lawyer sign a contract so quickly without more considerations? Who benefits from The Pact? It’s a cult that uses torture. It’s horrible. I would live in fear. It wouldn’t make my life better.

Where Jake and Alison hand picked. If so I guess the ending is no what they planned.

I can’t believe how it ended and they left us hanging. Ugh. I hate an ending like this.

One of the most illogical stories I’ve ever read. The story centers around an idiotic cult dedicated to make marriages last forever by making its members follow stupid rules and punish them ruthlessly if they do not obey. A lawyer signs the contract without really reading it, all the members accept the punishments that do get physical etc. I was expecting it to have twists and reveals, but it was just a disappointment.
