A tense look into the difficult position Itachi found himself in between his clan and the village. The struggle he faces and his internal monologue really adds such depth to a situation that we already know about. And even knowing what was going to happen didn't make each dramatic moment any less impactful

A must read duology for any Naruto fan I'd say

I didn't remember the story of Itachi from the manga or anime, so being able to read it in a light novel format was wonderful. I hate how Itachi was being used by so many people in his village, so it made sense why he did what he did. But if you want to really point the finger at someone, Danzo is the main man. I remember not liking him from the series, so to read about how he manipulated and used Itachi just made my dislike of Danzo that much more apparent.
