On the angsty instalove side, predictable but still very enjoyable. I liked both characters overall.

This is book three of me working my way through the Love Clichés series again, this time via audiobook. I am seriously loving rereading these even more than reading them the first time around and for half of this one I was on a one-day road trip to meet up with some of my bookstabesties and listened to it in the car with my husband. That was a hilarious experience! There is SO much banter, flirting, and internal dialogue struggling with attraction in this book, it was emphasized greatly by my husband’s reactions. He kept making comments and giving me looks the whole time; I was dying with laughter.

Somehow I lived my whole life without this book! Or at least since February when it was published. You could say Bookstagram/book club made me do it and I’m so glad! This book was so fun and hilarious. So much witty comebacks, sweet swoon and one of my fav tropes- fake relationships. It starts out with an enemies to lovers with a backstory that’s probably mentioned more in another book but this can be read as a stand alone. I did and still loved it. And now I can’t wait to read the other books by this author! A dog, lobsters, contracts and more.

I listened to the audiobook and the two narrators did great bringing to life the characters. Thanks to the author for the audio. Make sure to join the book club buddy chat happening this month!
