It was better than the first one solely because Cardan was in it more. I still don't like Jude. It also had soooo much more potential for angst so it just felt like wasted opportunity.

This one was a little bit slower than the first, in my opinion, but non the less filled to the brim with complex situations and relationships. Holly Black has an amazing writing style and this series feels so unique. I will be continuing onto the last book of the series, 'Queen of Nothing', and I can't wait. This YA fantasy series deserves all of the hype!
