This was easily one of- if not the best book I've ever read. All three books of the series are.
Morally grey characters, villains and complex female characters have always been my favs when reading and this book has just about all of them. I have longed and longed for a bad ass female character who was considered "the villain" of the story and boy did Amber Nicole deliver.
Book one ★★★★.25 - although there were some conflict and adventure, was understandably more of an introduction to characters and future plot points. But in no way did it disappoint. Book 2 is where we saw out badass FMC doing her thing. Miss Dianna Martinez you deserve the world.
Book two ★★★★★- yes. yes. yes. All I have to say. Mother was eatingggg.
Book three ★★★★.5- once again amazing. The only things I didn't like however were the multi POVs we got— only because I was more interested in the plot/ action with the main characters but these POVs were detrimental to the story so it's fine. The other thing is that there is a build up to a battle which will occur in Book four so there was alot of downtime with our main couple when they weren't busy saving the world or wateva (I skipped most of it I'm ngl)
I love that our girl Dianna is this strong ass creature, the extent of her power never seen before- strong enough to rival the gods and she knows it. I was so glad that throughout the series she still made mistakes and she remained impulsive. Love that she didn't automatically become all knowing and the strongest person ever with an incredie grip and control on her magic- it was a gradual process and she still isn't even at her furthest potential.
Villains were villaining. Enemies to lovers were enemising. Banter was amazing. Love the diversity. Plot and world building were easy to follow and understand. Book one smut (what little there were) was great, hated it as I moved to books two and three. I skipped them all. It wasn't necessary and I feel like it wasn't written that well. I usually hate fade to black but I wouldn't have minded if it was.
