Wow I really loved this book. The story is getting much more interesting. I just wish that did flip flop between characters. It would be better if it was all in Violet's view. The writing could do with more editing, but overall the storyline is excellent. Not as funny as the first book.

SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Now that Arion has woken and tricked Violet into helping him escape his burial ground, tensions are on the rise. The guys are confused why he woke up early and are butting heads constantly. And Violet is sworn to secrecy about what happened with Arion, especially when he does something to her that causes her to forget him when not in his presence if she tries to talk about him.

However, Arion seems to be the least of their problems. Danger seems to be lurking around every corner, and betas from the various houses seem to be going rogue.

But the biggest secrets of all have yet to be revealed. Like the iffy history between the alphas and Portocale gypsies. And, of course, the full extent of Violet’s secret powers and what her powers mean for all of them.

REVIEW:

Another great installment! In this one we get to know the guys a little more, they all grow a little closer, threats arise, and we learn a lot more about Violet’s mysterious powers.

Arion is also brought to the forefront a bit. And, interestingly enough, he desires for Violet to be with all of them to bring them all back together as an alpha group. But they have had a bad history with sharing. Mainly because of one evil Neopry gypsy named Idun who tricked them into believing she was four different women and then broke them apart in different ways before they buried her in the ground (she’s immortal).

She does end up having sex with Vance and Damien (at different times), but afterwards they both pull away from her. Vance because supposedly it’s forbidden to be with a Portocale gypsy (this hasn’t been explained yet though). And Damien because he believes she is somehow Idun reincarnated since she didn’t die during sex with him (because of his curse).

Both Emit and Damien have now found out she can’t die. Damien because she told him after they had sex. And Emit because he saw her “killed” and come back, then he witnessed her monster coming out to kill those who had tried to bury both of them. Emit hasn’t told the others about her monster. And neither have told Arion or Vance about her not being able to die.

I loved the book. It was fast paced, lighter, and had a little more steam to it (which I liked).

The only thing I didn’t like was Anna’s ghost perishing. I simply refuse to believe this. She was such a great side character! I hope she is brought back somehow. :(

Still overall the series is going strong! There’s a lot more secrets to learn and some weird things going on that I’m hoping will all be explained and come together in the end. I love the characters and their blooming relationships. And I love the world building and overarching plot being built up. I’m on to the next one!

Love love loved it, plot wise I found it much more enjoyable than the first. I adore her growing relationship with all of the guys. I was waiting this entire book for something to happen between Violet and Damien, just for my wish to be fulfilled and then immediately get fucking ruined!!

Anyway, so far I can’t decide whether I love Arion or Damien the most.

Still just a cute and simple read. The end picked up really quick and I hope the rest of the story continues at that pace! We shall see.

Okay sequel. I'm getting frustrated with confusing backstory, and I do feel like not a ton happened in this book. Still, it was funny and dark. I don't love all the guys. I may read book three, but I'm not sure. 3.5 stars.

4.5⭐️ so good I need to finish this series soo! I really need to know what violet true nature is, it’s driving me crazy. The lost of Anna is still sad, but it was fun while it lasted
