Finished Des's memoir while running the first 20 miler of my marathon build, which was the perfect setting. She nailed the format of her story, interspersing details of her Boston win with the rest of her running (and traveling and reading and drinking) life. Des is so cool and this made me admire her so much more.

Clever storytelling device, good writing, and I loved the audiobook as read by Des. Good audiobook for your training runs.

If you're a runner seeking motivation, Des Linden's story is one worth immersing into. The chapter alternate between her experience of running the Boston Marathon and key points of her career. It's an inside look of what the challenges may be more for a pressional long distance runner.

really liked the story but wish she would have gone into more detail about her life following her boston win
