I liked this book. I didn’t love it though. The dialogue seemed cringe like a Disney movie. The book still kept my interested though. Going on this journey with Ari living in my home town hearing names that I am familiar with was very enjoyable. I liked that Ari was a hard kid to understand and as the reader wanted to figure him out like how he wanted to figure himself out. This book had a solid ending and I’m happy for both Dante and Ari <3

“Another secret of the universe: Sometimes pain was like a storm that came out of nowhere. The clearest summer morning could end in a downpour. Could end in lightning and thunder”

This book was everything to me. The writing was absolutely beautiful and I got so attached to every single character, Dante especially. Sam is just about the best book dad ever written. I will be coming back to reread <3
