This was less of new novella and more - "missing chapters" and "alternative POV" from Book 1 than an actual sequel. This was an easy low stress read which was perfect for my generally cranky mood.

The novella picks up about a year after Book 1; but the bulk of the books are copious amounts of flashbacks. So we get to see the fallouts of Book 1, the couple apologizing to each other, Chloe "meeting the parents" as the girlfriend etc etc. All of it was really cute.

Quick little read - you'll enjoy it if you're a fan of [b:Beautiful Bastard|16102004|Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard, #1)|Christina Lauren|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1362258921l/16102004._SY75_.jpg|21912533]

I like it more then first book, the banter between Chloe and Bennett was great.

Exactly what I wanted to finish off the story with Bennett and Chloe. I hope I get to hear more about them in the future books. Loved it!!

For fans of Beautiful Bastard, this is a fun one! We go right back to the last scene in the previous book and then find out what happens after that for about a year, in present tense and flashbacks. Bennett and Chloe have such great chemistry that it just flows off the page, and their sex is hot as usual. A lot of it was from Bennett's POV, so its nice to see the softer kinder side of him. Its not very long, more like a novella, but a nice conclusion to a fun couple.
