Fuck I cried during this one. This one got me. Immaculate.
Here’s some of my favorite quotes:
“‘I’m broken,’ I said softly. ‘I’m fucked up. It’s like I’m only getting worse.’
‘I followed you for years, Juniper. I saw all your broken pieces. I saw your sharpness. It was like shattered glass every time I looked at you.’ …. ‘Have you ever seen shattered glass catch the light? Have you seen it reflect colors that a perfect, pristine pane never would? How it shines as bright as the sun?’ … ‘I don’t think you need to be fixed, Juniper. I think you need to catch your light’.”
“You’ve fought your whole goddamn life to survive. But I’m fighting this one for you”
“You’ve fought for your life, Juniper. You deserve to live out the rest of it without having to fight another day”
“Her storm hadn’t lost its strength, not even now, not even with death bearing down on us.”
“You thought you threw a lamb down into the dark. You didn’t. You threw down a wolf, and I came back biting.”
“My own little wolf, with sharp teeth and stormy eyes. All shattered pieces and jagged edges that shone brighter than the sun. A soul as dark and strange as my own.”

This was disappointed in a way that I didn't expect and it honestly made me sad that I didn't enjoy it.
My main issue with this book is having read book 1 first you already know a lot about this books characters and things that happen with them so it feels a lot like rereading and nothings new or just getting the missing details of things we kind of knew.
I'm hoping to enjoy book 3 more but I plan to taking a break and reading something else before hand in hopes that I won't be as disappointed like I was with this book

Her Soul for Revenge covers the events of Her Soul to Keep but from Juniper and Zane's perspective. This book has significantly more sex and only works if you know the events of the first book as the plot relies heavily on that knowledge. I did much prefer Zane and Juniper to Raelynn and Leon as Raelynn read the whole time like she was 16 whereas Juniper read like someone in her early 20s whos been through it. From the end of the book I can't figure out what the plot of the third is so I;m undecided if I'll read it.
