Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I literally can't think of what to say about this book. When the author asked me if I would be interested in reading her book I read the synopsis like I always do and I was intrigued so I said yes. It took me a while to finally read it but here I am finished with it and I am torn on how I feel about it.

First off it is a really fast paced read. I was reading it and by the time I put it down for the night I had already made it halfway through the book. In the first chapter the female lead Anika can't seem to catch a break. It's like one thing after another keeps going wrong which actually made me want to read it even more to find out how things work out for her in the end. She's on the verge of losing everything so she is pretty desperate and when she finds an ad for a place rent free she jumps on it. First off who does something like that without asking any questions? I understand she was desperate but she had no clue what she was getting into.

In comes the male lead Charles which I have a love hate relationship with. His reasoning behind offering the place rent free is awful. I mean basically to me that makes him just about as bad as the bad guy so I was hating him for that because Anika had no idea and then he's actually a nice guy and I understand his reasoning for his plan but that doesn't make it ok.

Then the romance. I will say it was insta love which is fine with me but it was a little fast for me especially since Charle's actions sometimes didn't add up to someone being able to fall in love with him.

Then there's the end where the main points of the story were wrapped up but then you're left with an open ending on so many other things. I literally read the last line and then I turned the page and was like what no that can't be it.

I know my thoughts are all over the place and I'm sorry about that. I was so into it and I was wanting to find out the big reveals and honestly while I liked it I was left a little underwhelmed after the ending.
