I really enjoyed this one, though it confused me a lot. I feel a bit like Xander is too good to be true, but I didn't really mind that. The questions about her background and what was going on with her mom were frustratingly vague until we're told, so I didn't get to figure it out, I just got to worry about it with her. The 'other guy' was handled strangely, and I'm not sure why I feel that way. I liked him. But her reactions to him were strange. That's not helpful, I know, but that's the only word I can think of about it. It didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the story though. Very cute.

Meh.... If I were in high school, I probably would have enjoyed this more. I little to cliche and immature for my liking anymore. It was cute, but just okay. Fine is a good word to use. If you are looking for a simple, easy to read cliche love story, this one's for you.

I know it's just a crappy little teen romance book but it was just so cute!

And I really loved Caymen's sarcasm throughout the entire book.

The Distance Between Us was a nice surprise, with Xander and Caymen from different sides of the track, and Caymen having heard her whole life that she should stay far, far away from rich boys, the relationship and the uncovering of secrets kept me invested in the story from start to finish.

COYER Scavenger hunt item #36: Read a book with a car on the cover (3 points).

Caymen works at her moms doll shop. She is sarcastic, witty and deep down a loner. Don't get me wrong, she has friends she'd just rather spend time alone. One day though a regular clients grandson comes in to pick up her order. He's rich, you can just tell. He oozes money. Caymen knows how her mom feels about the rich people. They never stay, they have fun with you and then leave you. Caymen can't help it though, hes funny and nice and not like she thought he'd be. Caymen can't help but continue to have contact with him even though she knows it'll blow up when her mom finds out.

Her mom is hiding things from her though. She doesn't know what but its something big. Maybe even another baby. Could that be the secret? Hmmmm I guess you'll just have to read to find out.

Xander just went to the doll shop to pick up an order for his grandma and there he met her. Caymen is snarky and something about her makes him want to know her. He finally gets her to talk to him and they make a plan to find out what they're good at because the family businesses are not what they want for themselves.

Hot chocolate and muffins. Grave digging and science labs. These two are just so easy together and you really can't help but fall in love with them. That being said there was another boy in the picture just for a little while, Mason and honestly he wasn't bad either. Skye and Henry were a nice addition. I really loved all of the characters. This book was so easy to read and even easier to love. Watching them navigate their new relationship was sweet and funny. I can't say enough good things about this book. You have to read it! Leave the author some love in the form of a review.
