I liked this one even better than Six of Crows.  I was hooked from the beginning, the middle was action-packed, and the ending was satisfying without giving everything away.  Not in an “up for interpretation” sense, but more like a “leaving things open for potential future stories” sense.  Also great for fanfiction.  I love the characters in this duology and the nods to other Grishaverse characters.

Where do I even begin? First of all, I think I speak on behalf of all Six of Crows fans when I say that Leigh Bardugo could not have delivered us a better finale for Kaz Brekker and his motley crew! Crooked Kingdom was everything I wanted in a sequal and more - it was full of witty one-liners, daring missions, and deep-rooted rivalries. The plot was so well developed and contained many, MANY twists and turns. While I was reading, I was able to slip away from reality and enter the magical world of the Grishaverse. I didn't know I could feel such strong sentiments for fictional characters until I met the Crows! I enjoyed every minute of Kaz's scheming, Nina's humor, Jesper's liveliness, Inejs courage, Matthias' unwaivering faith, and Wylan's compassion. The narration shifted between the main characters with each chapter allowing readers to better understand their motives and backstories. Thank you Leigh Bardugo for creating this amazing story full of vengence, redemption, trust, and friendship. I truly loved this novel and would recommend it to any fantasy lover looking to spice up their day!

A masterpiece! I had a few problems with the pace changes throughout the book, and I mainly read it for the characters at the beginning, not the plot. At first I really wasn't that interested in what was going on, but with time it got more intriguing, thanks to Leigh Bardugos writing style and Kaz Brekkers genius mind. And though I very much enjoyed how their schemes came together, I also have to admit that I wouldn't have kept going if it wasn't for our crows. I love them so much, with all my heart and soul, so this book was pure happiness but also pain. The lil cameo of our favorite Ravkans was the cherry on top. Kaz and Nikolai meeting was glorious. I would like to give the book a 5☆ rating, but because of a particular outrageous plot decisions I cannot agree with I have to give it a 4.75☆.
