While I still love the characters, world, and relationships created in book one I found this book harder to get through.

I had a hard time focusing on it and I think it’s a consequence of having a lot going on. There were just a lot of plot threads and it switched between them frequently. While they all tied together in a way that made sense it was overwhelming and I think slowed down the book.

Overall I think I would come back to the book, but I’m not in the headspace to read it at the moment.

I adore this book, and I think this is even better than the previous book. The characters are all so unique, amazing and well-developed. It manages to continue the story from the last novel and wrap it up in a very satisfying way. I love how the relationship between all of the characters develops throughout the book, and the pacing is also done very well. The duology has to be my favourite YA series of all time.

Starting almost right from where Six of Crows left off, Crooked Kingdom is an excellent continuation and an equally satisfying end to Kaz and his gang of misfits' story.

This book has the same fantastic character development, well thought-out story, wonderfully written scenes and dialogue, as well as the same great balance a darkness and humour of the first.

A beautiful and slighty bittersweet ending.

In short, if you loved the first book, you won't be disappointed with this sequel.
