I enjoyed this book. It was about the second world war, but told from a German civilian's perceptive. I loved how different the rhythm was from other books I've read. Sometimes it was a little confusing, but it still came together and I loved the ending.

Kann ma lesen, sollt ma aber besser lassen.

"Sie hebelte den Dosendeckel auf, tippte mit dem Finger in das Pulver und leckte daran. Grässlich. Der Geschmack, ein bitteres Kuddelmuddel, nein, brennend scharf, so als würde eine egge über die Zunge gezogen. Grauenvoll."

Relativ raffiniert geschrieben (direkte Reden mitten in den Sätzen und geschmeidiges Hin- und Herwechseln zwischen Gegenwart und Vergangenheit. Aber doch irgendwie total platt das ganze.
