I am so so behind on updating StoryGraph... but WOW I really loved Watchmen!! From the stunning noir artwork to the intricate storyline... Its a product of its time for sure, but what a gorgeous, thrilling saga. Enjoyed it a lot.

I don't have any strong feelings about this book. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it. It was really unique story and I enjoyed my time reading it.

What I Liked
The artwork was so intricate and beautiful (as beautiful as murder and death can be).
The story had me guessing until the very end and I couldn't have predicted how it resolves itself.
I'm not that familiar with the 1980s but it was cool to see how they intertwined history while also diverging through the use of vigilantes.

What I Didn't Like
There were times that I struggled because of the different storylines happening at the same time.
Parts were dense and hard to get through and I found myself skipping over some of the pages (and frankly I didn't miss much).

DNF. I don't want to rate because I feel like it would be unfair. I went WAAAAAY out of my comfort zone (graphic novel AND super heroes?? smh lauren) and realized that I'm quite happy within my comfort zone.

Medium defining piece of art that really shows the power that a graphic novel can hold. Intricate characters and phenomenal design set this book apart from other comics. Also an amazing plot that really makes you question the "antagonist's" purpose and if it was justified. It's made to be read again and again to fully understand
