removing a star for black canary’s characterization and the kiss between her and barry…
but this was a lot of fun it made me like barry which is a Feat and i don’t care about the stakes or fighting i’m much more of a interpersonal relationship girl and that’s what this gives !! the alien fighting was fun too (but i did skim it)

But how can Black Canary fight? She has blonde hair AND lady parts!! Geez, give me a break. Horrible writing. Poorly written characters. I'd give this one a pass, folks.

Fairly decent. Some memorable interactions between team members, lots of famous panels from this one. Great Dinah/Barry, Arthur/Hal moments. Probably won't be rereading for a long time though.

Not what I expected at all. JLA: Year One has a great, consistent plot and an origin that shows the human side of the heroes. They have to learn how to trust each other and this leads to some conflict and really adds to an overall plot that twists and turns through the 12 issues.
