3.5⭐️; This was a really fun, cute read and it fed my need for a sport’s romance. It wasn’t the best I’ve read by it was by no means the worst!! It does have a subtle third act break-up so if that’s not your jam than I suggest you steer clear but if that doesn’t bother you than I definitely recommend that you try it out for yourself

I really did enjoy this book, but something was missing for me so it took a bit longer to read. There were some sentences that you have to read twice to understand b/c the wording was messed up, and mistakes like “that that” but it wasn’t much and did not affect the advancement of the plot. I really liked Miles and Wren and their questions game to get to know one another. I also love that they worked out together. There were things like the advancement of Wrens mom, that I wish there was a flashback or more in depth acknowledgment of her treatment that showcases how wrong it was. I also really wanted her to have more resolved relationship by the end with her mom, and I don’t mean that they have to be friends. It also felt a little flip floppy on if Wren enjoyed skating or not and I get loving something without competition, but it felt like she was still doing comps for her mom and would have loved to see her character make the decision not to skate competitively anymore as she started to believe in her writing. I want to see Wren skating for fun with Miles at the rink and writing her novel. I loved her dad and would like to have seen more of him, maybe even just over a phone call.

All in all this book felt a little rushed in some areas, where I’d get like no details and other parts felt like they drowned on a little. It felt very repetitive throughout the story, and I think that it could have ended a lot quicker. Tons of potential though.

It also felt like the author wanted to focus more on the physical stuff. She had a couple scenes that said they liked/loved everything and didn’t miss the physical aspects as much at the person, but then they get back together and that’s all they do. Also I wish she actually had Wren open up more. I get the concept of her character (a person with deep walls) but it acted like she opened up when I get her character was a lot of surface stuff. I mean she couldn’t even say a nice thing about Miles that wasn’t physical.

Their breakup also felt like she just wanted something to separate them, b/c those two months were really rushed with not much detail on why they were truly apart. I mean nobody who needs that much time away can make up for all of it with one small kiss and a conversation after.

My favorite “like seriously Miles that is so cute moment”:
“I am,” Miles says proudly. “I will follow you around Barnes and Noble and hold your books for you for the rest of my life.” "Are you sure? I get a lot of books," I murmur, raising my eyebrows. “And I'll hold every single one for you.”
