This was a fun listen and one of the better twisted tales that I’ve read!

When the story begins talking of a young girl in a hospital undergoing chemo for her cancer I wasn't sure how this would relate to the tale of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. I wasn't sure how Gina, a budding adventurer, would come in to play and be more than a passerby. But Brendan's tale for Daniella was more than I could have ever imagined. There is certainly a happy ending but not exactly in the way you'd think. Either way, I wouldn't be mad if Brendan had more to tell

Opzich een leuke twist op het originele disney verhaal, maar ik had er iets meer uit gewild, een hogere climax ofzo.

This was a good read. Not a quick read, not the best read, but a good read.

Essentially, instead of being blessed with the power of the sundrop flower, Rapunzel is blessed with the power of the moondrop flower. I won't go into any spoilers, but I'm not sure I liked her powers.

My biggest gripe with this book is the length. Honestly, you can skip a good 300 pages and not feel it. The middle is just so slow. And boring. I'm not sure if Disney told the author to make this book really long so she added 300 pages in the middle, or if this author waffled on for 400 pages and then panicked and had to finish the book too quickly in the last 100 pages. The pace just doesn't work.

I bought this book because it was on sale for $8 and I needed to spend another $5 on my order to get free shipping. Based on that, I am not disappointed by this book, I'm just not that into it.
