This book would be great for someone who is just starting their political enlightenment, but sadly I'm a political science student who already knew everything she talked about in this book, so I was just bored.

I thought the book was great and had some great ideas especially around climate colonialism. Its a great book for someone just starting their climate awareness journey or someone who is new to the idea of intersectionality being related to climate.
However if you have studied climate most of the ideas won't be very novel. I was hoping for a more informative book but it reads slightly more like a motivational speech. While I think a lot of people who like that sort of thing will like this book I found it made reading it a bit tedious. It could get a bit repetitive although I am very glad I have read it.

The low score (at least for my grading curve) is mostly because I find this style of non-fiction quite tedious and boring. However, this book makes a lot of great points in a very blunt way, which I appreciate. The 2nd half is something I really needed to hear (read) and I am more than happy to have read this book.

Reading this for a second time - I thought it was great the first time but read it so quickly that I didn't feel able to absorb it fully. Took longer over it this time, to really try take it in. I think it's such a useful resource for getting an insight into the climate crisis and the climate justice movement, and keeping a feeling of hope when everything feels a little overwhelming. Loads of good additional resources throughout the book too, I definitely recommend ♥️

This reignited my passion after feeling completely burnt out and despondent for a while. I'm off to look up climate groups in my area.
