Very different from my usual reads, but it was recommended to me by a good friend and has been sitting in my library for almost a year. Turns out, it's interesting, has nice art and color palette, and a good weird-as-fuck scifi story. What is there not to love about this?

This is the nerdiest shit I've ever read and it was pretty good. It was a great start for me trying out comics and graphic novels, and although I wasn't really THRILLED by the end of the book (I was so confused sometimes that I wasn't quite sure there was an actual plot), I still thought the art was beautiful, the world was immersive, and the characters are so likable that you feel close to them immediately. I loved having a strong mother figure. She's not just nurturing and loving, but she's damn funny, and so rough and tumble. She used to be a soldier and I have a slight crush on her... I'm just putting that out there.

When a couple ends up having a baby, the entire galaxy seems to start hunting them down. I guess that’s what happens when each person is from an opposing multigenerational war and relations between the two are the worst possible thing.

Being told from the perspective of the baby is a very interesting concept and I love that the authors aren’t afraid of anything when writing this. It give the story so much freedom and really makes it stand out. I’m interested to see where it goes especially because it had me laughing at some bits but at the same time I wasn’t dying to know what would happen next.

Weird. Unapologetic. Different. And that's why I liked it.
I really love the art and colors used in this, and I love how’s narrated, it feels like a movie.
I want to know more about the characters and the story and that's good.
I'm waiting for something extraordinary to give it more stars.
