The art was top notch, but there isn't much of a plot. This book is basically a collage of both art and ideas, some of which are at least moderately thought provoking, but it would have been nice if it were tied together with some kind of coherent story. It has a lot to say, but comes off a bit pretentious in saying it. You could do a lot worse for modern commentary, though.

Good art, but disjointed and tired premise.

Um. The art was decent, if noisy. But if there was a plot buried beneath the vignettes of misery and violence and desperation, I couldn't find it. And while the rivalry between the firefighters and police was hilarious, none of the other vignettes offered any fresh interpretations of The Inevitable Demise of Capitalistic Democracy.

The art is somewhat interesting- very reminiscent of Paul Pope- but the writing and the format are dense and muddied. I found myself looking at the art and ignoring the words.
