reading 1800s books with black characters are first of all....something else

that aside, its a really good book, for adults and children, the character development, even if huck doesn't see it that way, that huck has is really amazing and characters like Judith really made my day while reading it

I listened to this because I had just finished James. This is very imaginative and funny at times

Renewed acquaintance with Tom Sawyer, but just as the first book it didn't captivate me: long monologues, inadequate syntax, monotone undertone. Tom drags Huckleberry Finn to a gang of robbers and murderers, but it's all just a game. It's probably my bad, but it just doesn't resonate.
