Reviews with content warning for Death - Demon Slayer, Tome 4

as an arachnophobe, this volume was hell to get through (and I know the next one will be as well), but at least the characters are fun and made it all worthwhile (tanjiro, zenitsu and inosuke all share half a braincell and most of the time it's with tanjiro). admittedly, zenitsu's backstory made me tear up despite my very mixed feelings about him this early on in the story - honestly, those feelings didn't really change by the time I finished the anime, but I appreciate the character work. we were also briefly introduced to shinobu and reintroduced to giyuu (both of whom I love with my whole heart and soul), which was exciting! I can't wait to see more of them in the next volume.

This manga is seriously so well done. I loved this volume. Holy shit, the marionette section was specifically fucking brutal and unnerving. I also love how Inosuke is introduced in the story, he is quickly becoming a favorite of mine with every instance of his bravado taking control.
Meanwhile, Tanjiro is becoming more and more of an all-time favorite with his continued growth and empathetic nature.
The art in this one is enough to make any arachnophobia sufferer absolutely uneasy. I have to as well praise the pacing of this series, I feel that it is coming along extremely well.
