In A Line: The best-laid plans of a hot-shot businessman, to get the feisty farm girl to sign over her farm, ends up in him finding his home right there with her.

It was cute and cliched. Definitely satisfied my rom-com craving. Although there were a few instances that had me rolling my eyes to the seventh heaven. Like the totally unnecessary and completely forgettable scene of Jo figuring out if Grant is bisexual or not. What was the point of that? Thanks for the rep? Is that what it was? And the several instances of blatant ogling on Jo's part which would have been creepy if she were a guy. Not cool. But yeah, all in all, a cute one-time read.

Oh my sugary goodness! For Love or Honey is smooth and sweet, golden just like honey. My favorite of the small town books thus far, and one of my all time favs from always-delightful Staci Hart. Pure swoony romantic magic!

Staci has tackled the small town genre with the gusto and grace I’ve come to love about her writing. Back in dreamy Lindenbach, Texas, the prickly youngest of the self-proclaimed Blue bee witches goes to battle with the suited, city-boy Flexion oil rep in order to save her family bee farm, and her beloved town, from fracking. And what a delight! Enemies to lovers, witty banter, insane emotional and sexual chemistry, and SO MUCH HEART. All enhanced by the lovable small town antics, a bevy of enriching secondary characters, the coolest little bee farm on the planet, and so much small town charisma. I adored this story- Jo and Grant are truly special.

The sassy bee farmer, the ruthless oil man. Opposites attract, but they share so much emotional intensity. Both long to belong- to have purpose. Both have daddy baggage. Both feel galvanized by what they believe their role is to play in this fracking feud- and in the process, they find each other. At odds, but so perfectly matched. Their battle is equal parts and heated and humorous until it becomes so much more, and that is where this story shines so brightly. The chemistry and connection- how these two fall into each other unexpectedly, and what they discover about themselves, and their world, when they do.

For Love or Honey perfectly epitomizes what makes Staci Hart such such a lovable, and important, artistic voice- her gift in elevating the GOOD in humanity, the good in loving. Sure, for Love and Honey is entertaining- it’s wildly fun, uproariously funny, super sexy, and so sweet it could charm the stinger off a bee. On the surface, it’s everything you want or need in a feel good story- the charm, the wit, the sincerity, the captivating chemistry, all that small town goodness. But there’s always more to a Staci Hart book- the sugary center, a taste both sweet in nature but also deep in texture, just like honey. This is more than a feel good rom-com, though it certainly excels at all of that- because yet again is giving us a mirror into our humanness- the power of love and connection to help us find the BEST and most worthy parts of ourselves. The judge is gentle- but the push no less impactful. It’s a loving tug on the heart- to be open, to lift up the good in yourself, while also finding the good in one another. The kind of good that reminds us we can, and should, open our hearts to the possibility of love and belonging. To the magic we’re all capable of finding- if we just let it in. My heart overlows!

Dnf 50 pages in.
Characters are annoying and unlikeable, writing is cheesy and cringey, and within the span of 3 pages we get 3 horribly written references to how big his d1ck is. Pass.

I love romance, I love honey bees, what's not to love? Jo's trying to scare big bad oil exec Grant out of town. Except she's attracted to his larger prodigious junk (which she hilariously keeps comparing to ridiculous things) Actually, I really liked how Grant's bisexuality was dealt with. Jo tries to get her gay friend to hit on him to scare him off and Grants is just very nonplused about the whole thing.

I think the premise COULD have made a really good book. Instead I got boring and annoying characters (one of which talks like a 5 year old)
