Revenge is an entertaining and fast-paced read. Though billed as horror, this collection is more creepy and unsettling than scary. There is loads of murder, a heart beating outside of the body, a museum of torture instruments, and more. Ogawa skillfully weaves these interconnected lives together in a way that's intriguing and satisfying.

If you're in the mood for quick and creepy, look no further than this collection!

quite a few of these were misses to me which lowered the rating despite some pretty good stories. i don’t know if i would consider them horror stories though. most were pretty tame imo. i did like how they all connected though

This is such a beautiful, dark group of intertwined stories despite the title.
Lost 1 star, as I never wanted this to end.

I do not entirely know what to make of this book. I liked it, I know that. I found the interlocking stories fascinating and incredibly engrossing. I liked the look at how the ripple effects of violence are shown across different people's lives. The stories were just so bizarre and yet somehow written somehow to reflect a kind of mundane life. I just feel so wonderfully baffled by this read.
