What a treat!

This story was wonderful. It was exactly the quick bit of sweetness I was looking for.

Loved the bit of history attached to the tale.

Holy shit yes! yes for historical romance where the hero gets to show off his strength and the heroine gets to swoon. i'm all in for black heroines swooning. it's what they deserve.

i just removed one star because lmao he was so extra????

Book #1 for Olympic Games Readathon, Team Apollo. Book that starts with A.

I loved this so much!

Interracial romance in medieval times. HERE. FOR. IT. I loved Agnes and MacAllister. Agnes is considered an "exotic" for being a dark skinned woman in King James' court, and she meets a Highland clansman leader Gareth as an emissary, and sparks fly. Months later he comes to win a tournament for her kiss as a favor. It was super swoony and adorable.

I just wanted more of it. It was only 40 pages, which was still a full story. But I wanted more from them, and seeing more about how their interracial romance would affect that time period. I was super into it, and just wanted more.

Too short and too sudden. But that's on me, I should remember to filter out these short romances.
