This book is very pertinent to my life. I’ve experienced similar internal struggles presumably coming from a similar religious background and being queer. There were quite a few lines and pages I had to remember because they are so impactful.
Jeffrey did a great job with this book.
The chapters felt a little long at times, but not bad. I also enjoyed the interaction of the book with prompts to think, reflect, and write on.

Jeffrey Marsh is truly a gift, there were a lot of passages that I tabbed to be able to return to in the future. I think anybody in the queer community would benefit from reading this. I did think some of the personal stories ran long, especially about the religious aspects, but I understand that they were important in contextualizing Jeffrey's journey.
Graphic: Emotional abuse and Homophobia
Moderate: Physical abuse and Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Pandemic/Epidemic
