This is definitely a fast-paced book--I read it in one night! While the writing style was not my favorite, it won't probably bug middle grade readers and the mystery and fast action-based chapters will definitely entice 5-8th graders! While not a super "realistic" book, it was a fun read and I definitely was tense at certain scenes in the book, even as I rolled my eyes at other details that were included. I think this would be a great book for reluctant readers and those who enjoyo books like the Theodore Boone series.
