I enjoyed the book, but it was WAY too long! I feel like he over-explained things. It was informative and interesting for certain parts, but others were just needless.

Narrator Rating: 3.5 stars
The author did a decent job of reading the book, nothing spectacular but not terrible either.

A fascinating history and compelling personal account of guided psychedelic therapy.

Pollan makes a strong case for the increasingly medically-recognized therapeutic benefits of these molecules while embracing power they reveal in one’s mind, a phenomenon that barely tolerates words. His modest effort to do so yields a personal, informative, and convincing story for people who are skeptical, curious, or even feeling in need of such an experience to better their lives.
