Sinclair and his Bird... I liked their story but it could have been longer. I’m not a giant fan of books with less than 300 pages as they don’t dive deep enough, not enough relationship building or angst. I love the 500 page reads. That said this was the first in the series and it moved along nicely... enough to make me grab the next in the Series.

Male MC has literally no redeeming qualities, he's not likable in anyway, especially how he treats the Female MC, who doesn't have a backbone to speak of.
SpoilerChapter 39 is where I stopped, but only because I thought I misread Chapter 38, or I would have stopped sooner. Oral sex on an unconscious person without their prior consent for that situation, regardless of their body's natural response is rape.
He glorifies it to himself and I just do not care to see how he'll redeem himself in the eyes of the female MC.

Sinclair Sterling, better know as Sin, stays absolutely true to his namesake . He is a cold hearted, ruthless billionaire with demons that plague him from his past . Demons that he plans on burying one final time to get revenge for himself + The Seven . Sin has a plan to fake marry the daughter of his enemy to draw him out of hiding . A quick 30 day arrangement + then everything and everyone will go back to normal . Until Sun realizes that Summer is absolutely everything he never even knew he wanted and will now stop at nothing to make sure he gets his revenge + his Summer too .

Summer West is trying to get her struggling new business off the ground . Except with a sick younger sister who has never ending medical bills + dr visits, there just never seems to be enough money to go around . Summer has always had to be the strong + independent parent figure after they were abandoned and grew up in the system, but she has always made it work . Which is why the only reason she agrees to Sinclair’s ridiculous offer is because he is blackmailing her and all she has left is her name . With no choice but to do everything he says, Summer just hopes that she can get out with her heart unscathed .

I FREAKING LOVED THIS STORY ! There is nothing better than an enemies to lovers, grumpy, bully billionaire who falls in love with the pawn in his chess game . Sin is as dominate, cocky + as filthy as they come . I mean the book pages were scorching every time something came out of this man’s mouth .. down right delicious . Not to mention the back + fourth banter between the two of them made me laugh out loud at times . I can’t wait to know more about Saint in the next book + the rest of The Seven over the series .

This was the first book in the Big Bad Billionaires series + it can be read as a complete standalone .

This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .

Summer struggling, she has to help pay for her sister’s health care, when she gets an offer, she knows that this could be the one thing that saves them, until she meets who is making the offer.
Sin is as cold hearted as they come, he’s been planning to get Summer for a while as part of his revenge for the seven.
He thought it would be easy get her to fall in line seek his revenge and he would be done, what he didn’t expect was her to fight him at every turn, the sassiness that came from her he couldn’t believe that he enjoyed it, even looked forward to it.
Summer knows that it’s meant to be fake, she knows her heart is going to get broken, but she won’t give Sin all of her when he won’t give her all of him, that’s where she draws the line.
Sin knows that he’s feelings for Summer are strong and he can’t walk away from her like she wanted, but she wants to know everything, but if he lets her know everything will that cause her to walk away.

I had a hard time with The Billionaire's Fake Wife. So much so that I set it aside a few times, but the determination to finish brought me back. Well, that and I really wanted to like it more than I did. It's made up of some of my favorite romance tropes, but too many things just didn't work for me. Mainly though, I really did not like Sinclair. The blurb describes him as "Mr. Superior Jackass with a God complex." That's too generous, in my opinion. I didn't find him at all likable or redeemable, and if they don't have some redeeming qualities, that just leaves them as unlikeable. Summer is every bit the spitfire I hoped for, but I felt, and still feel, that she deserved sooo much better than Sinclair. I also feel like the story falls short on - well, story. Don't get me wrong, I like a steamy romance, but not when it takes the place of story or character development. Sinclair could've done with some serious development because he seems to have never made it past the horny teenager stage of his life. The book does have a revenge plot, and I could've gotten behind that, but again, the previously mentioned development would've come in handy. The saving grace for this one falls to Shane East, who I always enjoy listening to. This is my first time listening to Faye Adele, and I think she could've been a little more creative with the voices, but other than that, I liked her performance. Both narrators did well with the material they had, in my opinion.
Now, all of the above-mentioned reasons I had problems with this book could very well be things someone else will love. I think that's the beauty of reading. What one person doesn't care for, someone else will love. This one just didn't turn out to be something I loved.

Literally the worst book I have ever read.

The title is a spoiler in my opinion - they're was no mention of marriage at the point I gave up, but there was more and lots and lots of build up to a "plan" of some sort. I wonder what it is?

The characters are apparently British and this is proven with overuse of the word "bloody" where much stronger language would be more appropriate, as well as insults like "nincompoop" during a scene which is basically assault (I've never understood books with graphic sex scenes that shy away from strong language in other contexts).

The female lead is broke due to medical bills. In London.

Any scene with dialogue makes absolutely no sense - I have a feeling you're supposed to rely on knowledge of romance tropes to grope your way through these (pardon the pun). A lot of these scenes ends in weird slapstick/meet-cute moments which are beyond cringeworthy.

Do not rec.
