I literally don’t know how to rate this. I love the way Awad writes and I was confused the entire time I was reading. Fuck dude. Art school is just Like That. 

EDIT: coming back to this a day later i have to rate it 5 stars simply for its staying power. i keep thinking about the ending and getting choked up. god.

This book was insane (affectionate). Samantha, and the way her loneliness needs the fixation of the Bunnies is something very reminiscent of high school for me. While the Bunnies also invoke sorority girls I think by college, while finding them stupid and vain, I was much less concerned with them bc I could limit my interactions with them. The idea of being stuck in a small group of them in an unknown location is horror enough on it's own, no axes or exploding heads needed 😂 My only criticism would be in the pacing, it could get a bit slow at times, especially once Sam left the Bunnies, especially as Awad hammered in her message. It may have been a bit heavy handed but it was also often done in a way that was funny enough it didn't matter

Extremely good, unexpected, super raw and funny. Looking forward to more from this author. The (very good) narrator for audio positively *cannot* even vaguely approximate a Scottish accent, but it didn't even really take me out of the story.
