Wow wow wow! First, for a debut novel this writing was stunning and the plot was unlike anything I’ve read. So original and so well done. This book flaunts strong characters, impeccable imagery, and an internal monologue that was crafted with such care. There was beauty in every word.

This book got me really excited about fiction again. I will definitely be reading Heart of the Sun Warrior.

The writing tries to be pretty, but only manages to be indulgent.
I did not feel any affection for the main character.
And I now find it more worthwhile to try other books after reading a friend's spoilers & reactions.
