It's a sweet book but feels a bit like a sermon at times

This was an alright classic! I really liked the characters and I think it was rather funny at times. However, all the people recommending this as a ‘fun, lighthearted’ read without mentioning the racism, multiple child deaths, and ableism are not it. I do not care enough to read volume two, especially since Louie Alcott specifically stated they did not want to write it but were forced to. Will most likely re-read this every now and then!

Read this so I can watch the most recent film adaptation. I see while people like this, but it's not for me. I did like the character studies, though, particularly Jo.

i didnt finish the book because the chapters were to long, bur i liked the characters and might finish reading it someday, my favourite chapter was the picnic one, it wasn’t boring at all, i liked beth and meg and jo, while i didn’t like amy, but she seemed important to the plot, i liked the jo’s friendship with frankie, but i guess it will end in a relationdhip.
