Dragi Matija,
još jedna odlična knjiga pročitana ove godine! Mislim da ću ju iznova čitati svako ljeto kada ju kupim jer ju moram kupiti. Moj prvi Calvino, navodno i najlakši za čitati s obzirom na jednostavnost teksta, svakako neće biti zadnji. U kolekciji od nekoliko priča, autor govori o različitim pojedincima koji na veoma različite načine dolaze ili proživljavaju ljubav. Neki ju samo okrznu dok neki potpuno žive u njoj. Priče su nedorečene i nije uvijek sve objašnjeno, ali sve te ispunjavaju neočekivanom mirnoćom. Mnogo priča je vezano uz ljeto i more i voljela bih ponovno pročitati knjigu dok ležim na nekoj rivieri. Nadam se lijepom i uzbudljivom ljetu, s ponekim izgubljenim gaćama!

I was unfortunately disappointed in this collection. I love short stories, and have enjoyed other works by Calvino. But these stories just felt insufficient. I was hoping for some degree of heft, unsettledness, or wonder, but they mostly felt surface level. The riviera stories started off light but promising, but the war stories did not deliver. The other ones were ok.

some stories were soft porn, others were deeper reflections on the intricacies of relationships. A good range exploring the different aspects of relationships.

Uno dei pochi libri di Calvino che ancora non avevo letto. È altalenante, anzi, in crescendo. All’inizio prevale la frustrazione per queste storie inconcludenti e l’insopportabile mondo interiore malato dei protagonisti, poi, piano piano, si fa strada la relazione. I pensieri non restano più confinati nella produzione mentale di un solo soggetto, ma si relazionano con l’amato, spesso in un pregevole gioco di specchi.
