Morally gray characters, violence, betrayal, rivalry, filthy sex, criminal activity. This book was bananas and I loved it. I was very skeptical about this book from its description, but I trusted all the good reviews and I was not disappointed. This books is so bad it is good, plain delicious.

Ryat was the book boyfriend I never wanted to like, but oh my god, his character development by the end of the book was incredible. Blakely, his choose one, also has a massive character development and as their relationship unfolds it is evident that they are meant for each other. Noone else could be a better fit. Turns our Blakely is as unhinged as Ryat, the perfect fit for his world.

Ryan: I was forced to pick her as my chosen, but she continues to choose me every day. And that is what I call heaven. Because life without her would be hell.

Ryat darling, who proposes while having sex? And why did I like it?

We deserve a follow up book Shantel Tessier, we need to know what happens after the epilogue.

I absolutely love this standalone series!!

This was one of my first introductions to “dark romance/erotica” and I loved every single minute of it!!!
I couldn’t put it down and read the entire standalone series in less than one week!

Somehow i think we all need Ryat to love and worship us!

Be warned that this is literally just 600 pages of smut. And if you’re someone who needs trigger warnings please please check them!

Have you ever read a book and thought “wow there must be something wrong with me for enjoying this”? This is that book for me. (no there’s not actually any problem with liking this type of thing but it does make you question yourself sometimes). It was such a wild ride and I loved every second of it.

Dark secret society, morally grey characters, murder, dirty kinky smut, what more could you want?

Ryat is HOT. I wanted to hate him so bad for using Blake in the beginning but I never could. He never made her feel bad about what she was into and always protected her. And the way he calls her “little one” literally made me MELT.

Matt can ROT. I was 2 seconds away from killing him myself. I kinda wished Blake or Ryat did it though instead of Ty. Slightly anticlimactic.

I don’t know if I can in good conscience give this 5 stars….but I kinda want to. I’m taking 0.5 off because of the pregnancy trope tho
