My very favourite romance Book. Zarek of Moesia is my book husband. He is the best hero in all the romance books I have ever read. And Astrid is perfect for him.

Sherrilyn Kenyon did a great job creating a very romantic story between a nymph and an ex-slave who becomes a Dark Hunter after suffering a great injustice.

Zarek hates everyone including himself. To top it off, he messed up in New Orleans and is facing certain death when he returns to Alaska. But, he has a chance at redemption when Astrid comes to judge him. Will he also find his true love? One of Kenyon’s better Dark-Hunter stories.

It had potential to be a fabulous book if it had cut out most of the sex *rolls eyes*. The narrator at least didn't do the high pitched character voices but some of his voices were almost garbled which also cost a point

Okay so I’ve been wanting to read Zarak’s book since the moment I met him in an earlier book and I was not disappointed!

Zarak’s backstory was honestly heartbreaking and the glimpses we got at it really helped to explain why he is the way he is! Loved the relationship between Zarak and Astrid, especially when you start to see him become more comfortable around her.

Throughout this series I am growing more and more annoyed with Artemis and she was even worse in this book! I know we aren’t probably meant to like her but I really cannot stand her!

Overall probably my second favourite in the series to far!

The best entry in the series so far, which finally seems to be hitting its stride. Looking forward to reading what comes next.

Oh my fucking God. I didn't think after the last book that Artemis could get any worse. She did. Simi is adorable, and I don't want to talk too much about this because I'll gush and even though it's old now, it's too good to ruin for anyone who hasn't read it. So far this is my favourite! He's so sweet to people and no one notices it. His dreams are so depressing seeing him want to fit in and everything, and after it all, people banished him for a bullshit reason. Fucking Artemis. I want her death to literally be the most painful thing ever. God I hope she dies.
