It is foolish to think that I could add anything new or relevant to a discussion on a Shakespearean play. Therefore, these are merely notes for myself:

Othello isn't as captivating as some of the more famous tragedies like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth, but it is still great. Iago steals the show. He is one of the most devious, scheming characters in all of literature. Poor, foolish Othello . . .

One of Shakespeares best but there are literally zero redeemable characters in this book. My boy Cassio comes close though.

I really enjoyed this play, it was interesting and disturbing to see the affects of racism, as well as that of irrational jealousy. 5/5 Stars.
