I truly enjoyed Jack and Veronica's story. Not only did I enjoy the second chance love story but I enjoyed the humor as well. Poor Veronica and Jack learned that a misunderstanding between the two of them (with a third person causing their hurt) caused years of separation and misplaced hatred. I'm really glad that they were able to clear the air and find their HEA but I wish that we could have gotten more of that background story and why the whole situation happened (and please tell me that the stained shirt wasn't the real reason). I loved the Lorraine situation as well. I feel bad that she had to go through all of that and that poor Veronica had to deal with it but I couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation. Oh and the gnome! I love his cameo!! Jack as a great guy who was dealt a bad hand but he was wonderful with Veronica and he kept a big smile on my face. I'm looking forward to more in this series and seeing who's next with their HEA. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

This is Book #2 in the Small Town Romance series. I love romance books set in a small town. Once again, I was pulled into the book and it would not let me go until I got to the last page. This was a very sweet romance with a bit of suspense rolled into it.

I can not wait to read more in this series and from this author!
